I already have it placed temporarily against the wall (where it will hang permanently as soon as we have it suitably framed.) The colors blend perfectly with the furnishings and wall color we’ve already chosen, and the painting brings them all together. Your artist did a superb job of matching our color wishes. Please pass along our thanks and compliments to him/her. My wife and I were marveling at how much more depth there is to viewing the full-size canvas as opposed to a poster print. We’re noticing subtle variations in color that a print doesn’t really do justice to. Again, my compliments to the artist. I got my painting this morning and am very happy with the work you produced. I took the painting to work today and had a number of co-workers examine it. All were very impressed with the quality and the accuracy of your work to the original Van Gogh painting. (Most of them have seen the original in Holland) I had some detail photos of the original painting scaled up to actual size and we compared your work to the original painting. Your work captured the detail and spirit of the original very nicely. So thank you for the great job. We have seen several original paintings from Bouguereau, and especially have seen "Return from the Harvest" at the Cummer Museum in Jacksonville, Florida. Your rendition of this is extraordinary, and we like it better than the original! We are truly pleased with the quality and workmanship in your paintings. Hello, The painting arrived while I was in California. I've been back for a few days, but haven't had time to think of how to comment till now... It is gorgeous, frame, painting, and all. My expectations were very high. I am not disappointed. I showed the painting to a friend, and without telling him what it was, asked for an opinion. After five minutes of inspection, he proclaimed, simply, "I don't believe it. That's what I think." Only then did I reveal it is a reproduction. My own opinion? It is very very close to the *restored* original. The colors are extremely accurate. I've seen the original, in Philadelphia. And I have a photo of the painting prior to restoration. The colors in the unrestored painting are more washed out and have a brownish tint. The restored original and your reproduction are striking beautiful. A perfect mix of blues and greens. As for the frame, it's a masterpiece as well. I don't believe a local frame shop would have anything similar. The frame is sturdy, solid, strong. A work of art. I do want to say that your entire service was handled in a professional manner. Precise information, prompt email replies, careful packaging. Much better than some (admittedly busier) on-line shopping sites. Graham |
